Before you start
What to have ready
A supported rotating-equipment asset with the correct asset type and operating context.
A mobile device with approved microphone, motion-sensor, camera, and local-storage permissions.
Tenant diagnostic policy, role access, retention, redaction, and review requirements.
A defined session goal such as a normal round, sound concern, vibration concern, flow concern, air leak, running-state check, or before-and-after repair comparison.
Usage workflow
How to use Field Diagnostics
Select or scan the asset
Load asset identity, equipment type, current work, prior baseline, device capability, and the diagnostic session recipes allowed by policy.
Review safety preparation
Acknowledge recipe-specific prompts and capture only from approved, accessible positions without opening guards, panels, or restricted spaces for better evidence.
Capture the required evidence
Follow guided sound, contact-vibration, camera, OCR, operating-context, and technician-note steps selected for the asset and session goal.
Resolve capture-quality issues
Review clipping, noise, signal, contact, motion, missing samples, blur, glare, perspective, and OCR confidence; retake when the app explains why evidence is weak.
Review the screening finding
Inspect possible condition, severity, confidence, contributors, limitations, baseline coverage, model trace, evidence hash, and recommended next checks.
Confirm the follow-up path
Confirm, edit, reject, or request reliability review before an accepted non-normal finding becomes evidence-linked follow-up work.
Synchronize and compare
Preserve offline state until synchronization succeeds, then compare before-and-after evidence and keep the result with the asset and work record.
